Duties and Responsibilities :
1. Works cooperatively with the other teams to develop strategic and tactical plans to facilitate and coordinate the delivery of Web services.
2. Coordinates, develops, and implements plans to deliver these services.
3. Maintains open communication with other technology teams and planning committees to assure efficient processes are implemented and to coordinate projects with overlapping responsibilities.
4. Also coordinates efforts with database administrators, network infrastructure personnel, Systems Development, Client Support, Help desk, and Training team when necessary.
5. Develops and manages web services and support procedures, tools, and documentation. This includes writing scope documents, managing source code, and developing technical support standards and procedures.
6. Supervises technical staff that support web services and applications.
7. Responsibilities include hiring, assignment and review of work, performance evaluation, mentoring and training, and identifying opportunities for staff development.
8. Participates in all phases of projects including development, design, testing and production. This requires familiarity with Web Services or Integration programs languages/tools (such as Intel ESG, Pega,Java/J2EE technologies, Servlet API, JDBC, JMS, EJB, JPA, Hibernate, JAX-WS, JAXB, XML, HTML, ASP.Net/SharePoint, UNIX, DB2, Mainframe, SQL/PLSQL.).
9. Tracks and tests new technology and new techniques. Establishes procedures to support research and development activities to determine the suitability of new technology and procedures to the NCTracks environment.
10. Works closely with trading partners to support and resolve their issues.
11. Assures that application software, database software, and operating systems are at current revision levels and ensures acceptable levels of performance and access for application systems, databases, and operating systems.
12. Serves an advisor to team-wide technology committees and other ad hoc project committees. Works closely with these committees to coordinate information and activities.
13. Assists with plans, procedures, and activities to support business recovery when problems occur. This task includes such things as backup and restoration procedures, vendor agreements, data retention and restoration planning.
14.Stays current with technological developments and management practices, which involves reading publications, subscribing to Internet lists, attending conferences and workshops, and meeting with colleagues.
Education Requirements for the Position:
A Bachelor’s Degree or Higher or Foreign Equivalent in a related field of Study is required with related experience.
